New work in Event
My story “The Bodies of Others” — about rage in an elementary school classroom after 12 year-old Laura traces classmate Carolyn’s body onto a piece of paper — will appear in Event in 2009/10. In the meantime, my essay “Taking Shelter” can be read in their current issue.

Short story on Joyland.ca – “Swimmers”
My short story “Swimmers” — about a bond between nocturnal clubbers — is on the Vancouver page of the online short story project Joyland. “Swimmers” will also be included in Coming Attractions 09 edited by Mark Anthony Jarman, to be released by Oberon Press this Fall. Read “Swimmers” here.
