Some work out soon:
I’m working on a long series of prose poems, Vancouver For Beginners, and some of these pieces are starting to find homes. A couple are in The Capilano Review‘s winter issue, which is launching this Friday at VIVO in Vancouver. It’s the narrative issue and full of incredible prose writers and poets spanning several generations: Nicole Brossard, Michael Turner, Nicole Markotic, Jen Currin and many others. You can look at the issue contents here.
Some Vancouver For Beginners pieces will also be in Descant‘s Hidden City issue, out in the spring.
I have some erasure poems in the second issue of Queer lit magazine Plenitude. I’m glad this magazine is around and going strong. This issue will be released next week and includes work by graphic artist Elisha Lim and poet Lydia Kwa.
I’m back to book reviewing semi-regularly and have a review in the upcoming Aboriginal/Asian issue of ricepaper.
This Friday, February 15th, I’ll be reading a response to Bhanu Kapil’s work at Capilano University with Gail Scott and Ashok Mathur and Bhanu Kapil herself. Details are here.
