Narrative Panel with Bhanu Kapil — February 15th

I’ve fallen off the wagon in terms of posting my readings here, but there’s one coming up.

On February 15th I will be reading a piece about Bhanu Kapil’s work at Capilano University. Ashok Mathur and Gail Scott — amazing and humbling company — will also be responding to Kapil’s work and then (I think) there will be a panel discussion. Bhanu Kapil herself will be there to read the piece to which we will be responding. Details about the event are here.

This panel is part of The Capilano Review’s programming for their Narrative issue, which will be launch the evening of the 15th at VIVO on Main. Bhanu Kapil will also be giving a workshop while in Vancouver and you can check out The Capilano Review‘s website for details.

If you’re not familiar with Bhanu Kapil’s work, she is an experimental fiction writer and author of humanimal, The Vertical Interrogations of Strangers and Incubation: a space for monsters. I have read and loved her work for years and am so honoured to be responding to her work.
