One last launch tomorrow + my poems are so pedestrian

After launches in Vancouver and Toronto, the last launch of my book (that I know of!) is tomorrow night — Saturday night — in Montreal. It’s at 7 PM at Drawn & Quarterly Bookstore, 211 Bernard Ouest. I’m honoured to have Daniel Allen Cox and Linda Besner reading with me. All the details are on Facebook here or on the Drawn & Quarterly bookstore website here.

Last night I read in Toronto at the Livewords series hosted by Edward Nixon and the night before that I had a launch for the book at Toronto’s lovely Type Books with Sarah Pinder & Prathna Lor —  both audiences were so receptive and warm. Thank you to everyone who came out to support my work! Wow.

Also, Vancouver poet Kevin Spenst has been working on the ‘How Pedestrian’ project — he approaches random people in public spaces and asks strangers to read aloud from poetry collections. I LOVE this project. You can see Kevin’s post about getting his man to read my poem here.

Or you can watch the video here:

So interesting and odd to re-hear my work from a stranger.
